Amazonite Beaded Earrings

Amazonite Beaded Earrings

Dazzling vintage teal cabochon stones are set in turquoise colored seed bead settings. The drop bead is Grade A faceted amazonite, a gemstone named after the Amazon River.

This type of jewelry making is called "bead weaving" an ancient weaving technique dating back to ancient Egypt and is a reflection of the artist's Native American heritage. These earrings were created with only a needle and thread.
